got myself a gift 😍 its a saw used to cut things at angles. Otherwise the stuff looks catastrophic. Besides that, its a pretty cool object by itself. Child me would have examined it curiously.

I'd like to make a version of the actuator where the string is hit by an element, and then it's silenced by another element when retracted, but the main point is that I want to have the string be open while the actuator is activated.

my favourite mixer so far! soundcraft compact. Got it second hand at good price. Its the only one so far I've found that lets me route or bypass sounds to my kaoss pad. Some knobs had a bit of noise, but cleaning was enough to fix this. Also I was surprised to see that wuthout a cover, it catches a lot of noise. It, thus relies a lot on the enclosure as a faraday cage. I somehow expected that this effect would be very small. Ah, also the level meter is beautiful. When I started using external batteries I leaned that it has a low voltage indicator 😂

tuning this thing is not easy. Also I am taking note that the first string might not necessarily be midi note zero (C), and it would make my life easier being able to transpose it somehow. I could've used a 'calculeitor' but I didn't want to add yet more things to the mix.

A very elegant pickup for strings. Just testing the teory of creating a balanced audio pickup using oppossed polarity guitar pickups. I can put it over a string and hear it. I noted that there is still some power supply noise though.
