Sequencer

The EP is a collection of light-hearted dance tracks that emerged from my playful experimentation with different sequencers and a desire to embrace joy after years of darker compositions. This EP blends old-school house rhythms with experimental electronic textures, creating music to moves the body while hopefully connecting you to summer memories, playful moments, and the natural world around.

The opening tracks "Percmachine" and "Hello" showcase a shift toward live-oriented composition, prioritizing the feeling over technical complexity. "Percmachine" brings whimsical energy through its staccato melodies and funny sounding party siren, while "Maullín" touches some of the essence of Chilean summer here in the south, featuring actual field recordings from the Maullín River where I started composing it on an electribe. Likewise, "Old Groove" and "General Tern" come from old loops I had lying around in the electribe. I developed them to mantain their spontaneous charm while expanding their sonic palette.

Throughout Sequencer, I've crafted a retro-tinged journey that balances electronic dance music's driving force with inner-connection. It's music I designed to make you move, but also to remember. Connecting listeners to their inner worlds and the simple magic of playful connection.
